Not only the turn‘ is ruled
by grammar - the meaning of a text as such is realized through grammar.
The existence of a grammar
in ‘turn’ and ‘text’ distinguishes a corpus from a relational data
base. The attempt to represent the characteristics of sentences and
words in a relational data base is a difficult task, cf. Conle, Ingrid:
Wie man aus SESAM-Drive eine prozedurale Sprache macht. In: LDV-Info 7,
Institut für Deutsche Sprache (Hg.), Mannheim 1998/1999, S. 89-91. |

Nicht nur der'Turn' verfügt
über eine Grammatik - auch der Sinn des Textes wird durch eine Grammatik
gestiftet.
Die Existenz von Grammatiken
für 'Turn' und Text' unterscheidet ein Korpus z.B. von einer relationalen
Datenbank. Entsprechend quälend verlaufen Versuche, die Eigenschaften
von Sätzen und Texten in relationale Datenbanken abzubilden. vgl.

Sprache macht. In: LDV-Info 7, Institut für Deutsche Sprache (Hg.),
